Courteous, Compassionate, Experienced
Every pet owner who enters our surgical center can expect the highest degree of service from our team. We treat your pet just as we would treat our own — with care, compassion and expert medical oversight.
Kelly Wehmeyer, Vet Tech
Kelly entered the veterinary field while still in high school, working part-time as a kennel attendant. From there she worked in various day practices and spent five years at the Animal Emergency Clinic before joining Dr. Johnson in 1994. Kelly’s primary duties include pre-op and post-op patient care, anesthesia management, performing x-rays, and assisting in surgery.
In her spare time Kelly enjoys ghost hunting and diamond digging.
Candice Sorosiak, Vet Tech
Candice started working for Dr. Johnson in early 2016 after 30 years of experience in Veterinary General Practice. Candice is key in providing Dr. Johnson and his staff with pre-operative and post-operative patient care. She works behind the scenes to make sure your pets are treated with the utmost care and compassion.
In her free time, Candice enjoys camping, gardening and spending time with her husband, Kevin and her two dogs, Allie McBeagle and Beagle Baylee.
Melissa Marshall, Client Care Coordinator
After working 11 years as a Quality Assurance Manager in “corporate America,” Melissa followed her heart and pursued a career in the animal care industry. After working several years at different Houston area animal clinics, she joined the Animal Surgery Center of Houston in March 2006. Her main focus is to build a good relationship with every pet and their owner. She achieves this by communicating with each pet owner and caring for their pets as if they were her own.
In her free time, Melissa enjoys spending time with her husband Tim and three dogs: a Golden Retriever named Emma, a rescued Golden Retriever named Rowdy (appropriately named), and a rescued Labrador named Bo.
